Pork Chops with Italian Red Meat Sauce

These are simply wonderful Pork Center-Cut Chops that are prepared in an Italian style!

It is important to have a cast-iron pan or an oven-safe sauté pan to prepare these pork chops.



4 (4-6 ounce) boneless Pork Chops, center cut

2 tablespoons of Butter

1 tablespoon of McCormick® Grill Mates® Montreal Steak Seasoning

½ - ¾ cup of Italian Red Meat Sauce, which you can access easily by clicking on this recipe title

2 tablespoons of Parmesan Cheese, grated



Remove the pork chops from the refrigerator about a half hour before cooking them.  Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F.  Heat a cast-iron pan on the stove and melt the butter in it, but be careful not to burn the butter.  Sprinkle the pork chops with the McCormick® Grill Mates® Montreal Steak Seasoning on each side.  Once the cast-iron pan is hot, add the pork chops to the pan.  Sear the pork chops on each side for about 3 minutes.  Be careful to avoid them from burning. Place the cast-iron pan with the pork chops into the oven and cook them further for about 5-10 minutes.  The internal temperature of the pork should reach between 140 and 145 degrees.  This will depend on the thickness of the pork among other things.  Heat the Italian Red Meat Sauce on the stove until it is hot.  Once the pork chops are fully cooked to the right temperature, remove from the oven and let rest for about 5 minutes.  Top the pork chops with the red sauce and the parmesan cheese and serve.
