Cantaloupe and Mint Sorbet

Description

This is a delightful “palate cleanser” or a fresh dessert.

Equipment

It is important to have an ice-cream machine for the preparation of this wonderful sorbet.

Ingredients

 

3 cups of Cantaloupe, peeled and cubed

1-½ tablespoons of Mint, finely chopped

2 tablespoons of fresh Lime Juice

2 tablespoons of Vodka

1 tablespoon of Rice Vinegar

⅓ cup of Ultra-fine Sugar

Directions

 

Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend them until they are smooth.  Place the contents into the refrigerator and chill them for about 4 hours.  After four hours, remove the contents from the refrigerator and add them into your ice cream maker, and follow the directions of the ice cream maker.

 

Freeze the sorbet in the freezer for a few hours and then it is ready to serve. 

 

Serving Suggestion:

 

Serve as a palate cleanser with a fresh mint sprig or as a nice fresh dessert.
